2. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purposes set out below.
Information you provide to us — when you complete our contact form or correspond with us, we collect your name, email address, contact number and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically — when you visit the website our servers may log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and the date/time of access, for security and analytics purposes.
Cookies — see the Cookies section below.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal information (such as health, religion or biometric data), and ask that you do not submit such information through our forms.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- ▸To respond to your enquiries and provide quotes or information you request;
- ▸To deliver, manage and support the software and services you engage us for;
- ▸To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website;
- ▸To send service-related communications, and — only with your consent — marketing communications you may opt out of at any time;
- ▸To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful Basis for Processing
We process personal information on one or more of the following lawful bases recognised under POPIA and the GDPR:
- ▸Consent — which you may withdraw at any time;
- ▸Performance of a contract — or steps taken at your request before entering into one;
- ▸Legitimate interests — such as responding to enquiries, securing our website and growing our business, balanced against your rights;
- ▸Compliance with a legal obligation.
5. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website uses only the cookies and local storage necessary for the site to function and to remember your preferences. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- ▸Operators (processors) who help us run the website and handle enquiries — for example our form-delivery provider and hosting provider — who are required to process the information only on our instructions and to keep it secure;
- ▸Professional advisors, where reasonably necessary;
- ▸Authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect our rights;
- ▸A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or business transfer.
7. Cross-Border (International) Transfers
Some of our service providers (for example our form-delivery and hosting providers) may store or process information on servers located outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with POPIA (section 72) and, where applicable, the GDPR — for example by using providers subject to comparable data-protection laws or appropriate contractual safeguards.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), security headers, restricted access and spam protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the Information Regulator of a material breach as required by law.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to provide our services, and to comply with legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- ▸Access the personal information we hold about you;
- ▸Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete information;

- ▸Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@lsddev.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
Our website and services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to external sites (for example client project sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; please review their policies separately.
